Listening, the first issue of Contemporary Music Review planned by the Japanese Editorial Board, was almost totally devoted to articles related to Japanese musical traditions. Listening 2, dedicated to the memory of Morton Feldman, is a follow-up. But here the emphasis is not on any Japanese theme in particular, but on the role of listening in music-making in general.
