This Is an Easter poem I wrote 35 years ago when I was 9 years old, and for some reason it has always stuck with me.

Easter is a time of year when the little ones in our lives get to experience the wonder of springtime, which I have tried to capture in this book.

There are many ways to make this day even more special for them. One way is by reading them a book or telling them a story with your own words. But how about introducing them to poetry?

Poetry is not just something that we read in literature class or analyze in books. It can be fun and joyful, too! Poets create their own worlds through rhyme, rhythm and repetition --- tools that children also use for play and storytelling.
