商品簡介 |
The Hong Kong White Book continues to provide the most comprehensive coverage of matters relevant to civil procedure and serves as the authoritative, court accepted reference source for understanding procedural rules and positing a point of law.
However, most importantly, it has been 24 months since the implementation of the Civil Justice Reform and there is now a body of CJR law which has been fully integrated into daily practice. With this in mind, we’ve asked a select review committee to refine the commentary, creating a tighter format ensuring CJR has been integrated in the most relevant ways. In addition, there are many exciting developments in other areas such as Arbitration that are being integrated into the 2012 service. THE COURT BOOK FOR ANY CIVIL LITIGATOR We recognise this status brings with it a responsibility in providing not just the most trusted content, but also the level of first class service that goes along with it. The 2012 Hong Kong White Book service has been designed to keep readers abreast of the changes with four volumes, two supplements and at least three e-newsletters covering all areas of procedural practice from tribunals all the way to the Court of Final Appeal. Two special releases are scheduled to ensure that civil practitioners will always have the most up-to-date information on changes as soon as they need them: Special Release (April 2011) CJR Cases from 2 April 2009 – February 2011 Special Release (June 2011) Arbitration Ordinance COMMENTARY REVISED AND REFINED BY A SELECT COMMITTEE Understanding the role the Hong Kong White Book plays in both the courts and the life of every civil practitioner, we are committed to making improvements year-on-year. With CJR in force for the past 24 months, the court insists and expects, familiarity with all the new provisions. Therefore we have undertaken a thorough review of the service. Led by Mr. Justice Chan PJ and Mr. Martin Rogers, a team of reviewers including Judges and practitioners, are ensuring that CJR is properly interwoven into all aspects of the Hong Kong White Book. This will bring greater and more varied expertise to bear on the commentary; expanding the commentary where required; and adding in relevant content from other jurisdictions. The outcome of this review process is certain to make the 2012 Hong Kong White Book a tighter, stronger and even more essential resource than ever before! COMPREHENSIVE AND REVAMPED ARBITRATION SECTION The rapid pace of development continues with Hong Kong reaffirming its position as an international centre for dispute resolution. The 2012 Hong Kong White Book service includes a complete and revamped arbitration section that includes the new Arbitration Ordinance. |
