About the author Dr Victor Lai Dr Victor Lai is currently an associate professor at the Academy of Visual Arts of Hong Kong Baptist University. He gained a Masters degree in Painting from the Royal College of Art (RCA) in London in 1990 and a PhD in Visual Art and Art History from Lancaster University in 2001.
