Life was difficult in Hong Kong during the Japanese occupation from December 1941 to August 1945. Mr Cheng Po Hung draws together historical photographs and news records to produce an exhibition and catalogue that acknowledge the hardships as wellas reveal the resilience of the Hong Kong people as they found the means to continue with their lives. In addition, the exhibition and catalogue point out some of the Nipponising changes to everyday life that the Japanese administration tried to impose on Hong Kong during the occupation.
1941年12月至1945年8月的日治時代是香港歷史中黑暗的一頁。鄭寶鴻先生結合舊照片和時事記錄，組成展覽和出版圖冊，記錄了香港市民在日治期間所經歷的困苦，同時帶出香港人在惡劣情況下，依然繼續努力生活的堅毅和生命力。展覽和圖錄亦記載了日當局企圖日化香港的不同措施，希望讓觀眾和讀者加深對香港日治時代的認識。
