Specimens in facsimile in the album include chiefly stelae in former keeping of epigraphists Luo Zhenyo, Ma Chong and Wu Zhaohuang. The stelae are mostly the only true specimens extant, and rubbings from them are evidently different from rubbings shown in ordinary calligraphic treatises.
