Chief Red Claw's Comanche renegades, supplied with latest rifles by a greedy gunrunning outfit, are terrorizing settlers, burning, looting and killing. In desperation, the Army re-hires former trail scout Clay Coleman, a man they once booted out for bending the rules. On the trail west, Clay rescues a mail order bride from a Comanche war party, then catches up with his old saddle partner, Shoshone Sam.
