Ezekiel 34:26 speaks of God showering His people with blessings. "I will make them and the places all around My hill a blessing; and I will cause showers to come down in their season; there shall be showers of blessing."Again, in Deuteronomy 28:3, the living God vows to pour out blessings. "Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out." Those uplifting words of God's go on for another seven verses. With no gimmicks, nothing hidden in fine print of the numerous hoops one must jump through to be blessed, God makes it plain and simple. The requirement is to unpretentiously love the Lord in a mighty way. You ask, what does a loving God in a mighty way look like? It's nothing more nor nothingness than placing God's commands ahead of our own wishes. It's one thing to read of God's promises of blessing His people. It's quite another to experience firsthand the deity's exalting approving touch. In Showers of Blessings, the author draws on factual experiences from personal lives detailing how, through obeying God's commands, individuals were highly blessed in the midst of personal crisis. With each new blessing from the living God, we too, along with Job, will exclaim, "I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees You" (Job 42:5). Blessed shall you be.
