Lovesick Budge Moss, middle-aged author on the skids, sails his boat one way to Rock Hall on Chesapeake Bay, with only his cat for companyand then he sells the boat. His wife has left him, his home and possessions are gone, but he's determined to reestablish his bearings and write a thinly disguised tale about this lonely passage in his life.
