序
既能用來作為經貿學院本科生高年級學生和研究生選修課和必修課還能用來作為這類院校雙語教學或主要課外閱讀材料的《涉外經濟法律英語》的第三版在法律出版社和廣大讀者的關愛下即將問世，它與前兩版相比有以下五點不同：
其一，填補了一個空白。在前兩版中由於擔心書太厚未收入案例分析，在第三版中我加進了六十多個從英美商法教科書中精選出的可供教學用的經典濃縮案例（over 60 classical condensed cases for teaching International Business Law）。
其二，增加了三個方面的法律。它們是：(1)美國侵權法；(2)英國財產法；(3)英國繼承法。
其三，調整了課文安排與組合。新版共分上中下三篇。上篇為國際貿易，中篇為國際金融方面的法律，下篇為供教學用的經典案例閱讀與分析。最後為附錄。
其四，刪除了過時的原第二十課（關於「歐共體競爭規則」）。
其五，調整了英文書名，將“English Language of the Foreign Economic Law”改為“The English Language of International Business Law”。
希望新出的第三版在幫助提高我國整體法律英語水準和促進中國高校雙語教學方面繼續發揮它應有的作用。
