In Luke 17:17 we hear Jesus ask somewhat sadly, "Were not ten made clean? Where are the other nine?" One can hear His heart longing for those nine. He does not condemn them for their ingratitude, rather, He gently plants a seed in the hearts of His disciples to pursue all such souls for His coming kingdom.

Weaving this account of a miraculous healing with other stories and parables from Scripture, the author endeavors to take you deeper into the story of one of the "other nine." The physical healings performed by Jesus are often only an introduction and invitation to receive the more awesome healing that comes with the forgiveness of sin and reconciliation with our Father.
