Death of a Statue is a collection of poems covering a wide spectrum of themes, all encompassed within one's relationship with the self. The poet has managed to employ simple language to evoke complex images which are startling in their clarity. There are many voices that speak out from this anthology, the priest, the politician, the virgin, the farmer and many more. All tell their stories in a way that would relate to the reader's predicaments and day to day living. This is a well thought-out collection that will mean different things to different people at different times. A new fascinating voice has landed on the literary scene.
